Mission

Established in 1969, the Florida Crime Prevention Association (FCPA) is a statewide, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing public safety through proactive crime prevention efforts. As the oldest crime prevention association in the United States, FCPA brings together citizens, law enforcement officers, and crime prevention professionals to promote, develop, and advance effective crime prevention programs and strategies across Florida.

Through innovative initiatives, partnerships, and outreach, we empower individuals and organizations to play an active role in protecting their neighborhoods and improving quality of life throughout the state.

Our mission is to establish and advance rigorous professional standards of ethics and competence for law enforcement officers, while promoting evidence-based crime prevention strategies aimed at reducing criminal activity, alleviating public fear of crime, and enhancing the overall quality of life within the community.

To facilitate collaboration among law enforcement agencies, specialized professionals, and key stakeholders, fostering the exchange of expertise and the implementation of effective programs designed to enhance community relations and strengthen crime prevention efforts within the law enforcement profession.

To provide law enforcement agencies with the resources they need to offer their communities up-to-date programs in areas such as community relations, community policing, and crime prevention.

To educate and inform the public through its membership, leveraging programs aimed at raising awareness of current crime prevention strategies and techniques.
